About us

Plantamangrove.org is a blue carbon sub-project undertaken by Marine Conservation Philippines (MCP), to offer carbon offsetting and tree planting services to companies seeking to improve their environmental profile, as well as private individuals concerned with the state of our planet and who wish to help by planting trees.

The organization

Marine Conservation Philippines

MCP is a registered non-profit situated in the heartland of the Philippines, which means we are able to offer the tree planting services cheaper than any other pay-to-plant options available online. As a planter you simply get more trees and impact for your investment, not only because you plant more trees for less, but especially because mangroves are approximately four times more efficient at storing carbon than terrestrial trees.

Why we work

Not for profit

Because of our non-profit legal status, your contributions to our cause is likely to be tax deductible in your country, (most countries have tax laws that favor donations to non-profits.)

MCP was established in 2015 and has been engaged in marine conservation efforts in the Visayas region ever since.  Mangrove reforestation efforts within the organisation became a prime conservation goal in 2017. www.plantamangrove.org was launched in 2021.

Did you know?

Mangrove forests are the most carbon-dense forests in the tropics.

They contain more than three times as much mean carbon per hectare as land based tropical forests (Donato et al., 2011).
